Crusader went out to our customer’s site recently to see these two operational used 2013 (YOM) Titan 130 15MW (ISO) 60Hz 13.8kV natural gas units, both located in Alberta Canada. The two Titan gas turbine generator sets are on the Solar InSights program, with Solar’s high engagement/maintenance/service with the operators.

Both are excellently taken care of. Other than the buildings, they are essentially identical turbine generator packages consisting of a main turbine building (with sound attenuated compact GTG enclosure inside), plus MCC/switchgear building, an instrument air building, and a transformer outside. One of the two T130’s was run a couple of days ago from our visit, and the other Titan 130 was up and running when we visited.

Back in the spring of 2022, we had the privilege to tour this magnificent 16.5MW power plant in Mazeppa, Alberta Canada. Composed of five 3.3MW Jenbacher reciprocating natural gas generators, this highly engineered and sound-attenuated plant is truly a symphony of power. While no longer on the market, its future use will provide much-needed electricity to the grid.

We were very glad to have first-hand access to this prestine package that is adhering to OEM preservation schedules.
