At Crusader, we first became familiar with this package design after installing four nearly identical units at a client’s power site in central Alberta. The specification and performance impressed us enough that a fifth unit was later constructed from scratch. When seven additional packages became available, we were excited to bring them to market.

Upgradeable to 1.2MW

As major overhauls become due, owners have the option to exchange the L5794GSI core for a Waukesha L7044GSI, effectively increasing output to 1.2MW while utilizing the existing alternator and package infrastructure.

Two units are currently candidates for overhaul, while five additional units have lower hours and are available for immediate shipment.

Now, I’m excited to share these with you today. Top tier 1 megawatt Waukesha generator packages. Now, we first came aware of these when we installed four of them up at our site in central Alberta.

Since then, our customer even had us construct another one from scratch, all working flawlessly. Then, out of nowhere, seven more appeared, and we’re excited to bring those to you today.

So, why do I call them top tier? Well, for one, they’re built in Alberta by Alberta oil field manufacturing companies. They’ve got all the things that you want to think about for a cold weather package.

First of all, they’re skidded housed in full oil field style. We don’t have a simple radiator. We have a full fin tube cooler. We got an extra deep oil pan for extended oil changes. We’ve got the integrated glycol and oil in the rails along with an overhead crane for quick top-end overhauls.

Now, two of these are requiring overhauls, which is a good point to jump off on because all of the generators in these packages are actually rated for 1.2 megawatt.

Meaning, when this 5794 is due for a full overhaul, you can submit your core and get back a 7044 in exchange, and now you’ve upgraded your generator to a full 1.2 megawatt.

There’s five additional that have lower hours on them that don’t require any work at all, and they can be shipped out immediately. They’re sitting out in central Alberta as well and they’re available for inspection or viewing.
