For Sale: 2 x 50 TPH Furnace Oil / Fuel Oil Treatment Plants

Two complete PETROLITE BAKER Fuel Oil Treatment Plants (FOTP) are available for sale as part of a larger portfolio of surplus utility-scale power generation assets.

The two treatment trains share the same specifications and were originally installed in 1985 for treatment of water-soluble salts, specifically sodium and potassium (Na+K), in Furnace Oil / Fuel Oil (FO).

Each train has a nominal treatment capacity of 50 tonnes/hour and operates using electrostatic separation. The system is designed for an inlet Na+K concentration of up to 50 ppm, with an indicated treated-fuel oil outlet specification of <0.50 ppm Na+K as per Gas Turbine Fuel Oil Standard.

The fuel oil treatment facilities include electrostatic separator vessels, oil and water pumping systems, chemical dosing equipment, steam and thermal-oil heating systems, heat exchangers, oily-water separation equipment, controls, and associated auxiliaries.

These assets were installed as part of a large 50 Hz, multi-fuel combined-cycle power generation facility capable of operating on natural gas, HSD and furnace oil/fuel oil.

The broader generation assets have capability for natural gas, HSD and furnace oil/fuel oil, making the FOTP system particularly relevant for buyers evaluating relocation or continued operation of utility-scale generating equipment requiring treated liquid-fuel capability.
